Building bank of simple functional words
You seem to be able to produce CV and VC words without too much difficulty now so I want to build them up so you can consistently produce them when you need them. For the week ahead (until 28/1/25) please focus on Set 1 as well as the weekly practice below.

Updated practice using some of the older videos but linked to the new one for [f] in 'off' below.
|
|
Weekly practice
- range of vowels - 'ah', 'er', 'u' as in 'up', 'or'
- bilabial sounds - 'b', 'p', 'm'
- f
- make a contrast between 'b', 'p', 'm' + or as in the words 'bore', 'pour' and 'more'
- elevate the back of the tongue to find roof of your mouth
Maintenance practice
All the videos below contain exercises that are useful for maintaining your speech skills. Use any of them at any time to keep your practice fresh and varied. The exercises above are more about building skills back into functional speech.
